On behalf of the children, staff, Governing Body and Trust board, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Tyntesfield Primary School. We are a thriving school community with committed staff, supportive parents and wonderful children. Many who visit, comment on the strength of our staff team and shared commitment to help every child in the school to love learning and achieve their best; taking each child from where they are to where they have the potential to be.
Tyntesfield prides itself on being a happy and welcoming school, which fosters and nurtures a community who care for one another, where kindness is promoted and respect is strong. Our children learn in a caring environment and are valued; learning is at the heart of all that we do and we teach them to aim high and develop their individual skills and talents as active, motivated, resilient learners so that each achieves their potential.
We are proud of our strong reputation for high standards in all areas of school life and are committed to ensuring that every member of our school community has access to a rich and diverse range of opportunities. Our curriculum is designed for the children, with the children and not only promotes high standards and challenges children’s thinking but excites and motivates our children and teaching staff. We are striving to develop children’s knowledge and skill across all areas of the curriculum so that we nurture and grow well-rounded children who could be the mathematicians, scientists, writers or historians of the future.
Our mission statement ‘We grow as learners to be the best we can be through care, collaboration and challenge’ encompasses not only my vision but all that we are about. It is embedded within the ethos of our school and lived through our values; We love learning, we make the most of every opportunity, we appreciate and care for each other and we achieve our best.
I hope you enjoy browsing the site and joining us in celebrating the achievements of our wonderful school community. I also hope you will gain a sense of the value that we place in each child and our desire to ensure the very highest standards, in all areas, within the caring, nurturing and happy community which is Tyntesfield Primary School. However, our website can only give you a small insight into the life of our school. If you wish to visit our school and see us in action, we would be delighted to welcome you and give you a tour. Please contact the school office to make an appointment.

Pupils very much enjoy coming to school... They feel safe in the stimulating environment into which they are warmly welcomed... One pupil stated that, ‘You can be yourself here.’
