As part of our commitment to deliver the highest quality provision, pupils in Year 1 and 2 are taught music by a specialist member of our school staff. Children fro Year 3 are taught by specialists from Trafford Music Service.
Every pupil in Years 2 - 6 are taught general music skills as well as learning to play an instrument.
At Tyntesfield we ensure the highest levels of achievement through provision of the highest quality teaching which delivers a broad, balanced and meaningful curriculum.
Pupils in Years 1 - 6 also have the opportunity to learn to play the guitar or recorder with a peripatetic music teacher. Instrumental tuition (taught in small groups) is delivered at lunchtime and there is a charge for this. Any parent interested in tuition should see Mrs McArdle in the School Office.
Pupils from Year 3 upwards are welcome to join our school choir. The choir sing a wide range of songs, many from the current chart and pupils have the opportunity to perform not only in school but also at other events, through the year, in the wider community.
Pupils very much enjoy coming to school... They feel safe in the stimulating environment into which they are warmly welcomed... One pupil stated that, ‘You can be yourself here.’
