Making the decision of where your child goes to school is of utmost importance. We believe that the best way to really get to know a school is to visit it. We welcome parent visits to Tyntesfield as it gives you a chance to see a 'working school'. The visit will take you around the building and facilities, see children learning and at play and give you a chance to ask questions throughout the visit.
If you would like to visit Tyntesfield please contact the office using the details found in the 'Contact' page of the website.
We look forward to seeing you.
Tyntesfield Primary School admissions are managed by Trafford Council and we adhere to Trafford’s Admission Policy.
Deadlines for admissions and contact details for the admissions team can be found on the council’s website. All applications for Reception Class places and in-year transfers should be made via the admissions team at Trafford.
Children can attend our nursery class during the academic year in which they celebrate their 4th birthday – therefore from age 3 upwards. For full details of the application process, please contact the school office, using the details found in the 'Contact' page of the website.
Please note that a place in Nursery Class does not guarantee a place in Reception Class – all parents must still apply for a place in Reception class which will be allocated in accordance with Trafford’s Admissions Criteria.
Once you have been allocated a place at Tyntesfield Primary School, you will either attend a parents information evening (new Reception and Nursery parents) or the office will contact you to arrange your first day (in-year transfers), where you will meet the classteacher, have a tour of the school and go through administrative procedures. At the welcome meeting, all aspects of school life will be explained and a number of forms will be issued for completion, to return to the school office.
Pupils very much enjoy coming to school... They feel safe in the stimulating environment into which they are warmly welcomed... One pupil stated that, ‘You can be yourself here.’
