Class 4RH

Hello and welcome to Class 4RH.

I am Mrs Herbert and there's nothing I enjoy more than sitting down with a cup of (Yorkshire) tea and getting lost in a good book. I can't wait to find out what pupils in 4RH are reading and continue to develop a love of books in the classroom.

In Year 4, we will be learning how to ask and answer deep questions, look for patterns and spot connections, as well as supporting others to achieve their best.

Amongst many other things, we'll learn about Greeks and Romans and how they compare, we'll be asking what makes Fair Trade fair and we'll also create seaside sculptures inspired by Anthony Gormley.

As they move through Year 4, I hope you will see pupils develop their confidence, resilience and their love of learning.

“You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me.”

C.S. Lewis

Pupils very much enjoy coming to school... They feel safe in the stimulating environment into which they are warmly welcomed... One pupil stated that, ‘You can be yourself here.’
